Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible crushing to spine ends. Noticeable tanning to spine and edges. MArks overall. Textblock is shaky.

The author, known as Jack Idriess in those days, captures the colour, excitement and hard courageous historical struggle in these locations. He also provides insights into Aboriginal rights and ceremonies. First edition.

Small amount of light foxing to the prelims only. Scuff mark along the front of the spine. The jacket has shallow chipping and a repair to a hole that we feel could have been caused by a critter, long since vacated.
