New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1928. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcovers, two volume set with volume 1 still having its original dust jacket. Also present is the presentation card which reads "Complements of The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, Daniel Willard, President". The dust jacket on volume 1 is toned and spotted along with edge and corner bumps/wear/small tears. The underside of the DJ was neatly reinforced with masking tape along the top and bottom edges, over the decades the tape has become dry and brittle. Neither volume shows any bookplates, handwriting, signatures, no library markings. Both volumes do have foxing present, particularly around the pages surrounding the illustrations, which includes the title pages. Binding is good with no issues and text pages are tight. Volume 1, which is in slightly better condition, contains 372 pages. Volume 2, which shows some spotting on the boards…
