Clean pages. Minimal foxing and tanning to endpapers and page edges. Some gutter cracking. Mild wear and bumping to spine, board edges and corners, with small splits to spine ends. Notable sunning to spine, with scuffing, staining and marking to boards.

Details of Tudor costumes, furniture, music and the background features are also included in the book. This is a fair to good copy with moderate general wear and tear and age-related page discolouration and heavy foxing. Dust jacket has been price clipped and is in fair condition with shelf wear and a many tears around corners, edges and spine. There is a small pencil mark on the inside front pages and a small sticker from a previous bookshop..

The hardcover is bumped & worn at the corners & top/tail of spine, The endpapers have some light spotting but inside the pages are clean & free from foxing. The pages edges are 'dusty'. There is no visible damage to the hinges and no tor, loose or missing pages. Illustrated in b/w with drawings & diagrams. No inscription or ownership markings.
