*Barks Signed 2x* Fine Art of Walt Disney's Donald Duck (#13 Signed #'d)

by Carl Barks

Condition: Very Good

Another Rainbow Publishing, 1981-01-01. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Signed by Illustrator. Blue cover version. This copy is *AUTOGRAPHED/SIGNED* by Carl Barks on the Limitation page numbered 13 of 1875. Very Good (7 of 10) / in Very Good- slipcase (6 of 10). Signed again by Carl Barks on page 72 and inscribed "Thanks to Norma and Dave for ordering this painting when I was starving for a job! 3/20/82" opposite Oil #9 Blue Composition of Ducks, An Unusual nighttime portrait including only characters Barks himself created - Uncle Scrooge, The Junior Woodchucks (as the 3 nephews Huey, Dewey & Louie), Gladstone Gander, Gyro Gearloose, Gyro's Helper, The Beagle Boys, Magica DeSpell, Medicine Man/Witch Doctor, Flintheart Glomgold, Larkies, Scrooge's Money Bin, & the 24 karet moon. Signed by Gare Barks on page 52 inscribed "Cheers, Norma + Dave - Love Gare" The spine has a light crease, and the binding is mildly shaken, this is obviously a well looked at copy, but not damaged. The slipcase illustration is noticeably faded (esp to the yellows/oranges) but otherwise unmarked, we were told it was kept on the coffee table in sight of the original painting. Many laid in Letters & papers: The original purchase receipt for this book #13/1875 signed in pencil by Gare Barks in 1982; Two typed pages about an oil painting "Blue Composition of Ducks" 1971, list of characters in the painting, etc.; Several copies of fan letters to & from Barks & Norma including a copy of a receipt for the oil painting "McDuck Composition in Blue" (purchased in 1972 for $150.); a typed page list of characters created by Barks; several scrap pages of notes about Norma + Dave's Barks collection.
