Red soft leather with gilt title and elaborate decorations to spine, and gilt elephant motif to front, not usually seen in this bright condition or with the dustjacket printed in red on cream paper (this also has the elephant head motif). Top page edges gilt. xvi, 208pp. With red linen page mark. Decorative title page with line drawing opposite. Poems. Nice edition ,not often seen in the jacket but in Fair to Good only condition. Very Good book in Fair jacket. Clean and bright covers, with very light foxing to closed page edges and some inside in places; two pages have ink marks ; the jacket has browning to spine and edges and large loss to top spine and front top, partly over title; other small losses to edges, and handling marks. Front flap intact with list of Kipling's works. Note other Methuen Kipling titles in same format available from this seller.
