About This Item

Chicago: Robert Rothe. Fine. 2001. First Edition. Trade Paperback. Inscribed & Signed By Publisher 220 pages, trade paperback, which is INSCRIBED AND SIGNED by the Author's son (and publisher) Robert Rothe inside the front cover. (With the exception of the inscription the book is entirely clean, a fine condition, bright and solid volume) Baseball’s Most Historic Games, 1876 to 1993, was written by Emil Herman Rothe during the last ten or twelve years of his life, after a life-long love-affair with the game. Emil H. Rothe died in 1994, and the book was published by his son Dr Robert E. Rothe in 2001. Robert Rothe provides a foreward to the book, which presents a chronological collection of 119 Vignettes (with statistics) reporting historical, unique or unusual happenings in Major League Baseball Games over that period of time. The Chicago chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) is named in honor of Emil Roth. .
