About This Item

Viking. Hardback. 176pp. First printing of the first edition of this Booker Prize-nominated novel. Ex-library copy with usual stamps, labels and numbers etc. though there are no number or library marks to the very clean dust wrapper. Most copies have a Viking £9.95 price sticker to inside front flap but this just shows the initial £8.95 price and is obviously not price clipped. Library stamps to colophon and remains of library pocket to the ffep. else very clean and neat. Good, sound, ex-library copy . Hardback. First Edition. 1985.
