Blue coloured cloth boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. A little bumping and rubbing to the backstrip edges and corners. Light age toning of the internal text. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower edge of the front paste-down. Photographic dustwrapper with black and white titles to the front panel and black titles to the backstrip. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper edges and to the top backstrip edge. The lower 1 inch of the backstrip is missing. Heavy rubbing to the fold over creases and lighter rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. Handling marks to the rear dustwrapper panel. There is a 0.5 " tear to the top edge of the rear dustwrapper panel. There is a 1 inch tear to the top edge of the front dustwrapper panel along with a fuse smaller tears with associated creasing. The biography of Beatrice Webb, who with her husband, Sydney Webb, was one of the most influential marriages in Britain in the early 20th century.
