She was a protoge of Anais Nin, the muse and mistress of Ezra Pound, friends with Charlie Parker, admirered by Marlon Brando, friends with many of the Beat writers among many other notable talents and associations. This collection of letters follows their postal relationship from its early critical exchange to their confrontational end.
