London:: Secker & Warburg,, 1938. . There was no US edition of this title. A Fine tight copy in a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with some gentle soiling, a small spot at the bottom edge of the front panel and a tiny chip at the heel of the spine. Probably the most important memoir by a member of the expatriate community in Paris in the 1920s and a very uncommon title especially with the rare dust jacket. Very few copies of this memoir have survived unlike the revised and edited edition by Kay Boyle in 1968. This copy belonged to the editor/collector Roger Senhouse. His ownership signature is on the flyleaf along with his pencil notations. He has also annotated the text. Laid-in is a 5 x 8 notecard with Senhouse's listing of Contact Editions accompanied by a t.l.s. from author Frank McShane thanking Senhouse for his efforts to find out the whereabouts of McAlmon. an uncommon copy of an uncommon book..
