Complete set, in two volumes, on the Catholic Church in Belgium. Pages 255–256 repeated in pagination. VERY SCARCE: OCLC locates only one holding of the third edition (1885) of this item (at U. Chicago). Library quarter leather over marbled paper boards, stamped in gilt on the spine. Spines sunned and with some minor abrasions. Ex-library with bookplates, call number on spines in white, charge pocket and date due slip at rear of both volumes. Call number pencilled on title-page of vol. II. Vol. I with spotting on first few pages and signature of previous owner at front fly-leaf. Vol. II lacking front fly-leaf. Tiny indentation on p. 257 of vol. I (without penetrating the paper) carrying through to next several leaves.
