Illustrated dust jacket. Belle Moskowitz (1877-1933) was a political advisor and publicist to Al Smith (1873-1944) from his 1918 campaign for governor of New York through his years as governor and his campaign for president. Her New York Times obituary referred to her as "the most powerful woman in United States politics." Book is in Fine Condition: clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Near Fine Condition: lightly rubbed; clean and bright.
