London: Stanley Paul, 1930. Rider-Haggard's scarce last novel, finished in 1924 and published posthumously (1st 1930). Second Impression, green covers with gilt, 285pp. Covers bumped with several marks. All extrems rubbed with several closed splits to joints. "W. H. Smith Library" sticker on front pastedown.Grubby page edges have a few stains, which have travelled 0.5cm onto pages in a couple of places. Several partly-erased pencilled figures on ffep and rfep and a couple of rfeps have small top corners snipped. Otherwise text bloc is fairly clean and solid. Not attractive, but a sound reading copy. No DJ. Ref:114747. Second Impression. Cloth. Poor/N/a. 12x18cm.
