There is a small amount of splitting to top of spine which has been caused when book was removed from a shelf, the splits have been glued back together but tthere are still some faint marks. Not price clipped, no inscriptions, illustrated. Clean copy internally with little reading wear, some slight browning to page edges. Heavy book, will require additional postage outside the UK.

The First UK printing published by Hamish Hamilton (Reindeer Books) in 1957. The BOOK is in near Fine condition with light spotting and toning to the text-bock with some light toning to the extreme page edges. A few light spots to the boards and edges. Internally free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in in near Fine condition. Very light fading to the spine and just a little dustiness to the rear panel. The wrapper is in exceptional condition for its age and looks very bright in the removable Brodart archival cover. The book is profusely illustrated throughout in B/W by the author.
