Berkeley, CA: Max Scherr, Publisher, 1970. Tabloid. Good. Side folding illustrated format. 20 pp. Black and white photos and illustrations throughout. Front cover a somewhat lurid illustration by J. Leon. Single issue of this long running underground newspaper from Berkeley, California, using a blend of counterculture, politics and sex ads to achieve success. This issue with several pieces on homosexuality and gay rights/liberation, including a suggestion that people give homosexuality a try, by Jefferson Fuck Poland and a piece on Berkeley's queer [sic] priest. News on Los Siete and the Soledad 3 included, as well as an interview with attorney Fay Stender. Also present is a page of revolutionary poetry by Afeni Shakur, a member of the (Black) Panther 21 in New York, and perhaps better known now as the mother of Tupac Shakur. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Moderate browning. Some soiling. Some chipping, tearing and creasing the along the extremities. Mailing label present.
