New York: A. L. Burt Company, Pub.. 1935. HC. good+, gray cloth (hardcover) (laser dustjacket) SEE NOTE. Number 6 in the series. Both list in the book, and on the jacket list to this title - ..AT THE WORLD'S FAIR. Title page reads only A.L. BURT COMPANY, Publishers. This book was part of the series when the series was published by the A. L. Burt Company. When Grosset took over the series, this volume was dropped because its setting, the 1933-34 Chicago's Century of Progress Exposition dated it. Thus, this title is the rarest in the series. In this book, Beverly and her friends have graduated from college and are working in New York. Disappointed that she was not going to Paris to study with friends, Beverly and her remaining friends plan a month vacation at the Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago where they witness a murder when a diver is killed by an air gun at the fair. CONDITION NOTE: A nice clean and tight copy. Previous owners name on front free endpaper. A few faint rust-like spots on spine, and small bumps to the top corners. A slight cant to book block, very slight. Included with this copy is a "LASER-COPY" of the original dustjacket from another copy we have, albiet with fading to the spine and some chipping, as the original.
