Privately Published By The Author.. As New with No dust jacket as issued. N.D.. Softcover. Although no date of publication is given, this book was published in 2007. It is signed by the author, CDR Harold M. Risener, United States Navy (Retired) . Signed only - no other names. The complete inscription reads "All Best Wishes, Harold M. Risener". Risner served on the LST 605 and he took command of the LST 459 in January of 1946. A LST is a Tank Landing Ship, the initials LST stand for Landing Ship, Tank. This book is Risner's memoirs of his experiences in World War II. Photographs and reproductions of news clippings. At the back of the book is a color photograph reproduced for the book of the 50th Anniversary Reunion of the crew and officers of the LST held in June 1993. Issued only in softcover. 225 pages include names and addresses of of enlisted personnel and officers of the LST 605. Book is in Fine, as new, condition. ; 5 1/2 in. x 8 1/2 in. .
