New York: Bantam, 1986. Signed and with a lengthy inscription on fep. Rare signed copy and rare signature of the late actress. First Edition with full numberline 8vo size hardcover with photo illustrated dust jacket; 270 pages From jacket: "(In March 1982) a man approached (actress Theresa Saldana) ... then began to attack her with a five-inch kitchen knife. He was determined to kill her - and he almost succeeded, stabbing her ten times, all over her body... (This book) is both the story of her hospital ordeal - her reactions, rage, torments, fears - and that of her determined climb back to living... She played the starring role in the television film about her experience, and went on to found Victims for Victims, a national organization dedicated to helping victims of crime." Ms. Saldana died in 2016. Book is bumped at head and heel of spine and three corners; bottom front corner is worn. Jacket has moderate wear with some creasing and minor chipping and a one inch and two inch tear on bottom back of jacket.
