IMPRINTED AT London by Rober Barker, Printer to the Kings most Excellent Maiestie. 1609. 0. 4to. 9.00" x 6.5" x 3.00". A very good original full leather binding. Thick boards, rather pock-marked, with one of the two original brass clasps. Hinges and corners carefully strengthened. Smooth spine. Old endpapers with numerous doodles ('John Dalton is the wright owner of this Booke 1668'). The book begins with a prayer book (complete except for the title page). Very good engraved general title with heat-shaped centre, verso blank . "To the Christian Reader." with: "How to take profit in reading the holy Scriptures." to the verso. Followed by "Of the incomparable Treasure..." and "...Names and Order of all the Bookes..."to verso. Followed by: Clean roman-letter text throughout, with good margins. The Apocrypha is present. The engraved New Testament title is present, with map and "The Description of the Holy Land... to verso. Clean New Testament text. "The Order Of Time... inserted before "The Revelation..." Bound with: "A briefe Table of the interpretation...", ending with colophon dated 1609. Bound with: "The Booke Of Psalmes... Companie of Stationers, 1608." Title with ink blots and doodles to both recto and verso. All other pages present, ending with colophon: "London: Printed by John Windet, for the Companie of Stationers, 1609."
