Introduction by Vermont State Librarian, H. A. Huse. Forest green cloth with titles stamped in gilt on spine. vii, 349 pp. Published posthumously after Gilman's family sent various newspaper posts and corrections to the State Librarian. According to the introduction, Gilman was the Librarian for the Vermont Historical Society upon his retirement as a successful businessman and built up quite a local history library, which formed the basis for this reference work. ; Ex-Library; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
