Book is in nice condition: tight binding, clean covers, no soiling, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing. Original dust jacket has tiny loss at tips of lower corners, no tears, clean, complete with original price intact. The book measures 204mm tall x 186mm, and has 348 pages, over 200 b/w photos & sketches, maps, index. This is the best history of big wall climbing & climbers up to 1974. Lots on the development in the Alps and Yosemite. Also has sections on remote areas like the Bugaboos, Logan Mountains, Baffin Island, Norway, etc. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
