"First Edition" is so stated on the copyright page and there is NO tell-tale book club mark (dot or other indication) on the rear cover. However the dust jacket is price clipped, so who knows? There is a small area of staining in the bottom corner of the front panel. The dust jacket has a couple of short, closed tears and light edge wear. The story of an all-black baseball team in American in the 1930s. Basically, a barnstorming team with the added complication of race.
