Original wraps that has been rebound in tan cloth boards. 133 pages text, 62 pages of plates (all present). Black and white illustrations, tables, graphs, index, maps, and black-and-white photographs. A detailed report of an ecological and biological survey of Walnut Lake, Michigan conducted in the spring and summer of 1906 whose chief purpose was to obtain facts concerning the fish life. The report sought not only to find out what kinds of fish lived in the lake, but more particularly to learn as much as possible about the feeding habits, breeding habits, habitat and the biological and physical relations of the species. This copy was owned and rebound by Dr. Charles C. Adams who was a strong leader in ecology in the early years of this field and who participated in the collection of data for the study. Dr. Adams' stamp and signature is on front wraps. .
