First published 1888; this is an issue of 1903 with"pin-ponted" corrections according to classification standards of the American Ornithologists' Union, as well as a review of original drawings for accuracy. Classic reference assembled by printer and popular ornithologist Jacob Henry Studer (1840 - 1904) with essays from eminent writers on ornithology and 119 colored plates by Theodore Jasper (1814 - 1897) from field observations. Fine copy.
