South Africa: Trustees of the South African Bird Book Fund / H.F. & G. Witherby, 1940. (RSA) Presumed 1st edition. Owner's name, endpapers are spotted and foxed, the cover edges are quite worn with the borads showing, the cloth to the spine edges have split and have been repaired, frayed spine extremities, light soiling to covers, well used copy with pages genertally clean, but sold as serviceable copy in rather Poor ondition. Cloth, xxxii, pp, index, tissue-protected colour frontis, and 55 colour plates showing bird species. All the plates are there and are in good condiction except that the back of the frontis illus is foxed. A heavy book. (3.0 JM FO 49/4. 1st. Hardcover. Poor/Lacking the Jacket.
