This set contains brilliant illustrations from Brasher's life's work, painting every species and sub-species of bird identified in the American Ornithologists' Union's Check-list of North American Birds. Two volumes very sturdily bound in plain green boards with green cloth spine (volume 2, 1962 about fine) and marbled green boards with green cloth spine (volume 1, 1961). Both volumes are unmarked, clean, crisp, and square. Both still stiff to open. Volume 1 has a four-strand scrape to rear board. Bright gilt titles to front and spine. All illustrations are full-page.
