Publisher's original black cloth and paper over boards, gilt lettering to spine. Book Condition: faint signs of handling, else fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Virtually as new. This copy is one those happy accidents that got two dust jackets at the printer's preserving the second one from sunlight, handling wear and everything else. A v. sharp copy of Chatwin's third book, second novel.

Synopsis

On the Black Hill is a novel by Bruce Chatwin published in 1982 and winner of the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for that year. In 1987 it was made into a film, directed by Andrew Grieve.
