There are 6 stories in all - please see the photos for the complete list of contents. With a Postscript and 14-page publisher's catalog at the back of the book. Illustrated end papers. Gilt top edge. "Hailed as one of the most extraordinary volumes of terror tales published. It includes [the] best-known story of a frightening journey through 'The Dead Valley,' which H.P. Lovecraft (in Supernatural Horror in Literature) singled out for praise."

Clean covers; light soiling to the spine; sharp corners. Tight binding. No loose pages. Crack at front hinge between the end papers. The text pages are in great condition - name/date (1897) written in pen and "Received at Savannah from Mrs. E.W. Jones" written in pencil on the title page (see photo)...otherwise the pages are clean. Overall in very good condition.
