The earliest English-language Czech cookbook, translated from the original by the author's daughter "because we continually receive inquiries for a Bohemian cook book written in the English language, from the daughters of Bohemian immigrants, who were born and raised here and do not read Bohemian as well as their parents" (p. 3).
