Bend, OR Maverick Publications, 1985. Paperback First Ed, unstated. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. This book was published by Maverick Publications in 1985. We believe it to be the true First Ed, though this is unstated. Very Good in Wraps: shows a short tear at lower rear corner, which has been tape-repaired; some faint creases at backstrip; light wear to extremities; mild rubbing; just a hint of spine lean; the binding, however, is secure and the text clean. Despite some minor flaws, a very handsome little volume. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 258 pages. Trade Paperback. Grover Tate was a flight engineer and then navigator. The airframes he flew in operations and in test programs for include the B-26, B-58, B-36, and F-111. His flying stories are in turns griping, hilarious, tragic, exctiting -- and all are fascinating. He paints wonderfull images of the people he worked and flew with. For anyone who has a connection to military flying, these people will surely ring true. He has done a fine job of capturing the fun-loving, commited, serious, and altruistic nature that so many flyers have. This is a really great book. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR.
