In the pages that follow, recollections by shipmates have been interwoven to give an easy flow. The main commentary has been given over to her Captains, who were less compartmentalized than the average sailor, petty officer or officer. These senior people saw the overall picture and this book is essentially a Captains' chronology of Bonaventure. To those who served aboard Bonnie, I hope that this will be a scrapbook of nostalgia giving life to familiar and beloved circumstances. To those who remember only the name Bonaventure, these pages will provide an insight into an era and an expertise that is no longer a part of Canadian Naval life. This copy remains in a good condition. The binding is tight and the text is clean. The dust jacket has sustained some creasing, tearing, and foxing along the top and bottom edge.
