This original hardcover "Book of Common Prayer" was published in Carlisle, Scotland, and printed by J. Harrison, making it exceedingly rare. We found only two print originals in libraries worldwide!
Carlisle: Printed by J. Harrison; of whom may be had the Bible with Annotations and Observations. MDCCLXXIX (1779). **Rare Edition**

Condition: This original hardcover "Book of Common Prayer" has been professionally rebound with appropriate modern calf as shown. It has raised bands and gilt on the spine as seen in the photos and a new wine satin ribbon was added. Appropriate embellishment on the cover. Photos reveal the name of the owner in beautiful script on a fly page, and her hand written designations on the top of each page. We found no errant markings within the text. End pages are complementary. We carefully photograph our items so that you can review details of condition.
