Full Burgundy Morocco Fine Binding With Double Gilt Frames To The Covers The Outer Frame With Fleur De Lys Corner Pieces And Grape Vignettes In The Centre, Inner Frame With Gilt Crosses And Hatching, Double Filt Border To The Outer Edge. Five Raised Bands To The Spine With Gilt Titles In The Second Compartment And Gilt Flowers Diamonds And Scrolls In The Remaining Compartments. Marbled End-Papers. Condition Very Good The Binding Has Been Professionally Restored, Repaired At The Corners, And Rebacked With The Original Spine Laid Down, Toning And Spots To The First And Last Few Pages, A Few Spots To The Pages Here And There And To The Verso And Margins Of The Plates. Contains 48 Engravings Of Scenes From The Bible, Saints, Baptism, Matrimony, The Gunpowder Treason, The Martyrdom Of King Charles I, The Restauration Of King Charles Ii. These Were Sold Separately To Be Bound In With The Book Of Common Prayer, And They Have Their Own Title Page That Is Bound In At The Front, Before The Title To The Bcp, And It Reads: "The Liturgy Of The Church Of England Adorn'd With 48 Historical Cuts.
