Fine contemporary full polished black calf binding with 5 raised bands to the spine, extensive fine gilt decoration to compartments, extravagent gilt decorated borders to front and rear boards, gilt dentelles and turn-ins. All edges gilt, contemporary marbled endpapers. Binding very good and strong with a little general wear and rubbing , a few discreet repairs,joints very good, small knock to lower edge of rear board and pin prick to rear board. Contents clean and tight, light reading wear only, paper bright with no foxing. A very good copy in a very good original binding.. Hardcover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. 8vo.
