With a fine fore-edge painting with a view of Oxford from the North. Period full black paneled calf, spine gilt, all edges gilt. Binding rubbed, front hinge cracked, decorative inside covers on the front and back. No Dust Jacket. Shelf wear to the edges and to the head and toe of the spine. Interior pages are Brown from age. Text and for edge illustrations are bright and clean, binding is secure, a solid collectible fore-edge painted book. Size: 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall
