Illustrator: Peter Shepheard. the text is illustrated with both small black-and-white illustrations of ducks and full page, full-colour reproductions of the same birds at the rear of the book. Illustrated boards, showing stylised ducks flying with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as the underlying board, with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. A book on wild ducks of England with a small potted history on each duck and then a beautiful full-colour illustrations following. King Penguin – 58. Softening of the backstrip and the lower backstrip edge is a little chip. Rubbing to the book corners and to the lower book edges. Browning and foxing to the book panels, textblock edges and endpapers. Offset canning to the endpapers and previous owner's name to the free front endpaper. Light age toning of the internal pages. Shipping it to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Heavy rubbing to either side of the backstrip and lighter rubbing to the fold over crease top the results of insect activity can be seen to the top half of the dustwrapper panels. foxing to the dustwrapper panels and to the verso of the dustwrapper and fading to the backstrip.
