About This Item

St. Johns: Newfoundland Book Publishers, 1967. Hardcover. Very Good. 9" x 12" Tall. 602, pp. With business advertisements at back. 32 color plates of birds by Roger Tory Peterson. Smallwood was about half way through his 22 year term as Provincial Premier when he edited this book. The theme of Volume III is Confederation: nearly 100 contributors wrote about a wide range of topics from provincial government and the role of the Grenfell Mission, to the Newfoundland breed of dog. Bound (for some inexplicable reason) in brown faux alligator printed cloth with acetate dust wrapper. Oversize book: Canadian and overseas customers please request a shipping quote, or anticipate a request for additional postage; the book will ship at cost.
