Meriden, CT: Timothy Press | Meriden Gravure Company, 1941. Hard Cover. Oblong quarto. 16 pp., 6 engraved plates. Limited Edition, one of 310 copies. Cloth backed patterned paper boards with printed title label on the front cover. A bit of rubbing to the extremities, but a very nice copy; moderate foxing largely isolated to the endpapers; Philip Duschnes ticket on the rear pastedown. Six plates--what Ruzicka in his comments calls, “the important part of Gribelin's book of engravings”--are beautifully reproduced. Ruzicka goes on, “One imagines beneath these ornaments innumerable objects of use and pleasure: watches -- decorated inside and out; snuff-boxes; gold, silver and gunsmith's work of all sorts; every material capable of being cut, etched, stamped, printed upon.”
