Published London: Printed for sunscribers only, 1884. 8vo., 6 1/2" x 9 1/4", each volume approximately 400pp., with twenty-one eaux-fortes by M.A. Lalauze. Most plates lacking, only four are present, text complete. Bound in full cream vellum with gilt titles and designs, top edge gilting, Printed on heavy Holland laid paper, some sheets uncut. Closed tear at the title head of volume six, vellum rough on volume one, light cover soil, usual offset darkening inside covers. Bindings strong, still attractive. Internally near fine, pages bright, unmarked. . Hard. Good. 8vo.
