Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1955. 1955 Stated First Edition. VERY GOOD in GOOD price-intact, dust jacket. A clean, totally unmarked and firmly bound copy. Pages lightly toned at edges, otherwise fine. Bound in blue hardcover, gilt lettered on spine. Cover is clean though there is light spotting along top edge of front board and spine. Unclipped dust jacket is clean, moderately edgeworn with a short tears, small chips and an abrasion along bottom edge of rear panel. Flap and spine folds rubbed with some small holes; the spine is a bit toned, and there are a few light scratches and faint penciling to front of jacket. Jacket is in a clear archival protector. Binding and hinges firm. Edited by Oscar Handlin and a title in 'The Library of American Biography'.' 5 x 8-1/4"; xi + 212 pages. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good.
