About This Item
Westminster, Maryland, U.S.A.: Random House Inc, 1990. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. A former agent assumes the identity of Jason Bourne to confront a mortal enemy. Stated first edition. Random House first printing with a number line sequence beginning at "2." Aside from a very light smudge on the lower textblock edge and a 1.5" embossed personal library seal on the front free endpaper, this is an exceptionally clean copy with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine has a very slight wave as if from reading but remains tight and crisp. Corners are square and not bumped. The navy blue and black boards are clean, flat and true with minimal edge wear. Dust jacket is not price-clipped ($21.95) and likewise shows only minimal edge wear/scuffing. There may be some browning to the flaps as well as to the INSIDE of the jacket. A beautiful copy and one of the best we have seen! This collectible, near fine/near fine, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
Synopsis
The Bourne Ultimatum is the third Jason Bourne novel written by Robert Ludlum and a sequel to The Bourne Supremacy (1986). First published in 1990, it was the last Bourne novel to be written by Ludlum himself. Eric Van Lustbader wrote a sequel titled The Bourne Legacy fourteen years later. A film titled The Bourne Ultimatum starring Matt Damon was released in 2007. As in the 2004 film, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum has a completely different plot from the novel.
