New York, NY Workman Publishing, 1978. Paperback First Edition thus [1978]; First Printing indicated. First Edition thus [1978]; First Printing indicated. Good in Wraps: shows indications of significant use: moderate to heavy wear to the extremities; a one-inch section chipped off at the upper rear corner; the cellophane protective coating to the wrapper covers is for the most part no longer present, faint creasing and minimal soiling; spine lean very slightly and is heavy sunned, obscuring the titles thereon to the point where they are legible only with difficulty. Despite noted flaws remains a clean, sturdy copy. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. Oblong 8vo. Photographic Illustrations by Robert Doisneau. Artistic Collaboration by Pierre Derlon. Trade Paperback. A children's story about a young boy who trained his pet dove to perform circus tricks. Beautifully illustrated with photographs by Robert Doisneau. The Boy And The Dove got me through a personal crisis during my college years in Oregon. I read it over and over. Each time a new meaning or nugget of wisdom spoke to me. The illustrations are awesome and the story is just inspiring.
