Story of Charles Lindbergh's flight from New York to Paris, the first man to make such a trip. Hardcover in Good Condition, w/o dust jacket. Illustrated. Paper panel illustration affixed to front board of the "Spirit of St. Louis" and a youthful Lindbergh, in very good condition. Clean and unmarked green cloth with gilt title nearly rubbed off spine, corners and spine head and heel worn, with cloth rubbed through at three corner tips, fraying at spine ends with a small tear on the lower front spine egde. Sewn binding tight and solid. Prev owner name and name stamp on ffep. Inner hinge partially cracked, at half title page. Frontspiece: The "Lone Eagle" and His Mother. Title page foxed. Oval stain on pages by upper hinge corner, up to page 39, progressively smaller. Otherwise pages are very clean and unmarked. Tight, solid volume with attractive paper panel illustration on front, pages and illustrations very clean and unmarked except stain as stated. A wonderful story for growing young people. Book cover has "Clean Living Preparedness Courage" by Lindbergh's portrait. 320 pages. 8.75 x 6.25 inches. The John C. Winston Co., Chicago, Illinois, 1928.
