Bran the Blessed in Arthurian Romance

by Helaine Newstead

Condition: Near Fine

Very Good+-Near Fine Hardcover Clean pages NO Signatures NO writing of any copy Book itself excellent except for some soiling from handling on rear cover otherwise it would be "Fine" 222 pp AMS 1966 Second edition of the 1939 Columbia First Edition which it physically emulates.Never reprinted past the second edition and remains a difficult book to find. Prof. Newstead was a colleague of Roger Sherman Loomis. Besides Bran's connection with Arthurian tales his presence in the Mabinogi and Welsh myth is apparent. But his appearance in Irish myth like the Voyage of Bran and even his apostolic Christian tradition with Joseph of Arimathea makes Bran the Blessed as enigmatic as the squawk of the Crow and Raven.Three Geese in Flight Flight passionate about Arthurian legend and Celtic myth since 1977 Photo soon
