The book is signed a second time by Douglas on a special colophon page at the front of the book. Kirk Douglas, who starred as "Burns" in the film adaptation (Lonely Are the Brave) of the novel, wrote the introduction to this deluxe edition limited to 500 copies. ; Carroll O’Connor starred in the movie as "Hinton the Truck Driver," who in the end of the movie runs over and kills "Burns". ; The book is tight, clean and crisp with a hint of very mild spotting to top edge and a very minor closed tear to bottom of dustjacket's rear, otherwise As New. An excellent copy now protected in a new Mylar cover. ; 8vo; 280 pages; Signed by Actor .
