N/P: N/P Book. Near Fine. Wrappers. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. A scarce 40-page pamphlet in original pictorial wrappers with colour photograph of Gurkha, and title, in black and green on front, photo of Gurkhas marching and playing bagpipes on back. Issued as a promotional item to solicit funds for the Gurkha Welfare Appeal. Published post 1971, likely mid to late 1970s. Foreword by Major General D.G.T. Horsford, and essay "The Gurkhas, Bravest of the Brave" by Sir Arthur Bryant. Includes numerous photographs, some colour, general history and profiles of individuals as well as advertisements from corporate sponsors, primarily in London, England. Includes a clip-out donation form. Printed by Gabe & Polden, Aldershot, UK. Some discolouration to glossy pages and cover, corner slightly bumped at spine, light fold mark at lower corner o/w no marks, entirely clean..
