The British Critic was a quarterly publication established by The Society for the Reformation of Principles in 1793. A conservative and high church review the publication rode the tide of British reaction against the French Revolution. Dated 1819 the work covers the months of July through to December. In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, rubbed with some shelfwear. Joints are starting but still reasonably firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright with some light spotting. Good
