Numerous b/white, line-drawn intext illustrations by Lura M. Ripley. Book clean. Bright gilt title over slightly cocked and bumped spine. Plain, original green cloth boards undamaged. Tinted top edge, leaves clean and unmarked. Art-illustrated, laminated dustjacket lightly edgeworn and colour faded on spine, plus minimal laminate bubbling. A stand-alone, Volume 1 in the 'Kew Series' of British plants.
