About This Item

New York: Cooper Union, 1997. Pamphlet. [35]p. with a couple of b&w photoportraits of Stella, a fancy little pamphlet in glossy 9x5 inch white & hot pink wraps with bright blue endsheets and a totally anomalous translucent green dustjacket titled black. Laid in is a translucent green "Compliments of" per CU School of Art dean, a sort of bookmark, it has mild corner-creasing. A very good clean copy. 1997 Robert Gwathmey Lecture, the Great Hall at Cooper Union. Stella commences: "..although [this talk] is advertised to be about art..it's really about coming out of the studio --a version of coming out of the closet after 30 years..
