Westminster, Maryland, U.S.A.: Random House Inc, 1979. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Famed astrophysicist Carl Sagan explores a variety of topics about the universe and the human self. Stated first edition. Random House first printing thus the number line sequence begins at "2". No writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. Pages are slightly browned, and the textblock edges are lightly foxed. There is also a spot on the lower textblock edge and a smudge here and there throughout the text. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square, and the boards are flat and true with only minor edge wear. The gold lettering on the spine is a bit worn. There is also a 1/4" spot of.something.on the back board which is mirrored on the inside of the dust jacket. Dust jacket is not price-clipped ($12.95) but does have some edge wear, scuffing/scraping, and micro tears as well as some browning to the flaps. The front flap also has some creasing. This collectible, very good/very good, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
